His bail has been set at $75,000.

PETALUMA, CA — Deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff's office arrested a man after he allegedly shot at someone over the weekend, then crashed his truck trying to get away.

About 10 p.m. Saturday, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Sonoma Mountain Road in Petaluma over a report of someone who shot at a man.

The suspect, 19-year-old Gabriel Chavez of Petaluma, was with another person in a pickup truck, which was blocking the entrance to a property. After a few people approached them and asked them to leave, Chavez allegedly pointed a handgun towards one of the people and fired one round towards him.
