Petaluma Woman Arrested In Connection With Suspected DUI Hit-And-Run
A woman is accused of fleeing on foot from police on foot after crashing a vehicle into a fence, authorities said.
PETALUMA, CA — A Petaluma woman was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run after police said she crashed her car into a fence and fled on foot.
Pamela Long, 66 was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run, driving under the influence and resisting arrest, the Petaluma Police Department reported.
On Friday at 8:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Stony Point Road on a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a house. Arriving officers found that the car was stuck in a fence and another fence was damaged nearby.

Long, identified as the driver, attempted to drive the vehicle out of the fence. After the attempt failed, a witness aid she fled into her residence.
After conducting a DUI investigation, police determined that Long was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.

Petaluma Police have made 263 DUI arrests since Jan. 1, compared to 151 DUI arrests during the same period in 2021.
"With the Holiday Season approaching, drivers should avoid drinking and driving. During the week of Thanksgiving, families are traveling farther, and traffic is up by 53 percent across the country. Nearly five times the number of drinking-related fatalities happen during the period between Wednesday before and Thanksgiving than on any other holiday," Petaluma police wrote in a statement.
