Sonoma Woman Accused In Petaluma Subway Robbery
An employee of the Subway suffered moderate injuries in the strong-arm robbery, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A Sonoma woman is accused of a strong-arm robbery at a Subway sandwich shop in Petaluma.
An employee of a Subway in the 2600 block of Lakeville Highway reported the robbery at 3:49 p.m. Friday. The employee told police they confronted the robber, later identified as Zurisadai Torres, 23, of Sonoma, and tried to stop her from leaving the restaurant with items she did not pay for.
"Torres immediately began assaulting the victim and fled the restaurant with the merchandise," Acting Petaluma police Sgt. Jake Gutierrez said. "The victim locked herself inside the restaurant and called 911."

Officers responded within minutes and found Torres still inside her car, parked near the restaurant. Officers did a "high-risk stop" and took Torres into custody without further incident.
The victim suffered moderate injuries that required medical evaluation. Petaluma Fire Department was requested and paramedics treated the victim at the scene.

Torres was arrested on suspicion of robbery and was later booked into Sonoma County jail.
