Watch: Bay Area Artist Kayatta, City Of Santa Rosa Release New Song

The new track redefines how the arts can be used as a tool for youth civic engagement, city officials said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Multiple Santa Rosa parks, landmarks, and even CityBus, are featured in this video for Bay Area hip-hop artist and poet Kayatta's new track about the City of Santa Rosa.

Kayatta's song, "Life Reimagined (I Wanna Know)," was released by the city of Santa Rosa in collaboration with Kimzin Creative, a local arts and equity consulting group. The new track is about the massive change the city is undergoing in the final phases of its general plan update.

Kimzin Creative produced the video and song with Kayatta and incorporated in-depth community feedback collected throughout the spring — redefining how the arts can be used as a tool for youth civic engagement.
