Woman Accused In Grocery Store Robbery In Petaluma
When a store employee confronted the woman, it is alleged she assaulted the employee and took off with merchandise.
PETALUMA, CA — A Lake County woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of a strong-arm robbery at a Petaluma grocery store.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers from the Petaluma Police Department responded to a robbery that had just taken place at Lucky in the 800 block of Lakeville Street.
An employee confronted a theft suspect — later identified as Jasmine Rudee Inong, 29, of Lower Lake — and tried to get the merchandise back from her, Petaluma police Lt. Garrett Glaviano said.

"A struggle ensued and Inong ultimately assaulted the employee and fled the store with the merchandise," Glaviano said.
The employee followed Inong to the parking lot and watched her get into a car and drive away.

Using the employee's description of the car, an officer soon found the car parked on the shoulder of northbound U.S. Highway 101 just north of the Lakeville Highway onramp.
Inong was inside the car and was taken into custody without further incident, Glaviano said.
Inong was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of two counts of robbery (211 PC). She remained in custody Thursday with her bail set at $50,000 and a court appearance on Friday.
"The Petaluma Police Department would like to thank the community members who helped the officers apprehend the suspect," Glaviano said.
