Baby Goat Stolen From Pinole Found Thanks To 'True Hero': Report

After a security video showed a woman snatching the newborn kid, its owners took to social media and the news media to help bring it home.

PINOLE, CA — A baby goat believed stolen from Pinole was found and reunited with its mother.

The goat, which belongs to Goats R Us, a local vegetation management company, was with its mother and other goats doing fire mitigation off of Appian Way in Pinole when it was snatched, the owner Terri Oyarzun said on social media.

After a security video showed a woman snatching the newborn kid, Goats R Us took to social media and the news media to help spread the word and hopefully, bring the baby home.

"The mama goat is Heartbroken, and sadly, the baby won’t live long without her," Oyarzun wrote on social media.

In an update a couple of days later, Goats R Us reported the baby goat was "safe and back with Momma goat, other goats, and human family."

A man and his uncle were walking their family dog in a San Pablo park when they spotted the cream-colored kid. They remembered seeing one of the news stories about the stolen goat.

The pair's dog, Lalo, was the "true hero," Oyarzun told Fox 2 News. The pooch started barking incessantly when it saw the little goat.

"So grateful for the power of the press, social media, and our caring community that made this happy ending possible," she told the news station.

Pinole police were reportedly still investigating the theft of the baby goat.
