'French Fry Felon' Threatened Fast Food Workers With Gun In 'Hangry' Outburst: Police
A woman angry over missing fries told employees she had a gun in her purse, which her 9-year-old daughter was holding, police said.
SAN PABLO, CA — A woman police have dubbed “the French fry felon” was arrested and charged with several offenses after she threatened to pull a gun on fast food workers over fries missing from her order, according to authorities.
Officers Friday responded to the restaurant in San Pablo when an employee called 911 about the woman, who sent her young children into the eatery to address the missing fries, police said. A worker told the children that if their mother showed her receipt the business would fix the situation, but the woman returned in a mood police described as “hangry” and threatened to attack the employees, telling them she had a gun in her purse, according to authorities.
The woman had given her 9-year-old daughter the purse to hold and the child turned over the handbag containing the loaded pistol to officers, who arrested the woman on suspicion of criminal threats with a gun and child endangerment, authorities said, adding the children’s father was called to pick them up.

“Needless to say, the woman was booked into county jail on several felonies,” police said in a social media post. “She had to wait even longer for her food, which unfortunately was a sandwich and milk rather than a hamburger and fries.”
