Gun Scare Prompts Lockdown At Pinole Middle School
The "gun" turned out to be a pellet gun, police said.

PINOLE, CA — A Pinole Middle School student brought a pellet gun to school on Monday, prompting a campus lockdown and a police response.
School officials called Pinole police at 8:58 a.m., saying a student was possibly in possession of a gun on campus. The student was detained in the school office while the campus was placed on lockdown and a search was conducted for the gun.
The pellet gun was discovered in a backpack. No one was injured and the lockdown was lifted while police and school officials investigated.
