HERCULES, CA — Police in Hercules say an unlicensed 17-year-old was the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a building Wednesday. Officers with the Hercules Police Department responded Wednesday at 11:18 a.m. to a report of vehicle that had crashed into a building in the 3900 block of San Pablo Avenue.  Police said witnesses reported a black Nissan had crashed into the building and then fled the scene. Police recovered a license plate from the scene and learned the vehicle was registered out of Fairfield.    After contacting the registered owner of the vehicle and her son, police learned a 17-year-old female juvenile from Fairfield was driving the vehicle when it crashed into the building.    Police said the 17-year-old, who is unlicensed, was driving the vehicle when she swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and crashed into the building.
