Hercules Police Locate Driver Who Crashed into Building

Police said the girl was driving the vehicle when she swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and crashed into the building.

HERCULES, CA — Police in Hercules say an unlicensed 17-year-old was the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a building Wednesday. Officers with the Hercules Police Department responded Wednesday at 11:18 a.m. to a report of vehicle that had crashed into a building in the 3900 block of San Pablo Avenue.

Police said witnesses reported a black Nissan had crashed into the building and then fled the scene. Police recovered a license plate from the scene and learned the vehicle was registered out of Fairfield.

After contacting the registered owner of the vehicle and her son, police learned a 17-year-old female juvenile from Fairfield was driving the vehicle when it crashed into the building.
