Hercules Pedestrian Struck by Train, Airlifted to Hospital with Head Injury Sunday
The 39-year-old woman was alert when emergency personnel arrived.

Hercules, CA— A woman was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being struck by a train in Hercules, according to police.
Police said officers responded to the area of Sycamore Avenue at Forest Run at 3:41 p.m. on reports of a train versus pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival, police located a 39-year-old woman on the ground next the tracks with a large cut on her head.
Police said the woman was alert and wanted to leave the area, however agreed to be airlifted to the hospital for further assessment.

The train operator remained on scene and cooperated with officers. The incident is currently under investigation by the Railway Police.
