EL SOBRANTE, CA- A man allegedly driving a stolen car evaded a helicopter and police dogs on Saturday night in El Sobrante, a Contra Costa County sheriff's lieutenant said today. Deputies spotted a vehicle registered as stolen at about 10:30 p.m. on Hilltop Drive in El Sobrante, said Lt. Ian Hebert. Hebert said the deputies attempted to stop the car, but it sped away from police and crashed moments later at Allview Avenue and Juanita Drive in El Sobrante. The driver of the car took off running, Hebert said.
