Man Allegedly Crashed Stolen Car, Evades Police, K9, and Helicopter
Contra Costa Sheriff's officials report that the driver of a stolen car got away following a chase in El Sobrante Saturday night.

EL SOBRANTE, CA- A man allegedly driving a stolen car evaded a helicopter and police dogs on Saturday night in El Sobrante, a Contra Costa County sheriff's lieutenant said today.
Deputies spotted a vehicle registered as stolen at about 10:30 p.m. on Hilltop Drive in El Sobrante, said Lt. Ian Hebert. Hebert said the deputies attempted to stop the car, but it sped away from police and crashed moments later at Allview Avenue and Juanita Drive in El Sobrante.
The driver of the car took off running, Hebert said.

Deputies deployed a helicopter and police dogs in an attempt to locate him, but Hebert said the man ran into some thick brush and evaded the law enforcement officers.
