A man pushed a woman inside a restroom earlier this week in Hercules and attempted to sexually assault her, police say. The woman was in the 100 block of Paradise Drive around 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday when she was locked in a restroom and attacked, according to a Hercules crime log. "The victim screamed several times which apparently scared the suspect away," the crime log stated. Police say the victim gave a description of the suspect, and a witness saw someone matching that description headed toward a nearby apartment. Christopher Barnette, 19, was contacted by officers and arrested on charges of false imprisonment, burglarly and attempted sexual assault. A man pushed a woman inside a restroom earlier this week in Hercules and attempted to sexually assault her, police say.

The woman was in the 100 block of Paradise Drive around 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday when she was locked in a restroom and attacked, according to a Hercules crime log. "The victim screamed several times which apparently scared the suspect away," the crime log stated.

Police say the victim gave a description of the suspect, and a witness saw someone matching that description headed toward a nearby apartment.
