Pinole Police Log: Drug Busts, Target Thefts, DUI Arrests

Some of the incidents that kept Pinole police officers busy last week

Here are some of the items from the Pinole Police Department logs from July 29 to August 2.

Monday, July 29

Hit-Run: Police received a report at 2:13 p.m. about a hit-and-run accident in the 2700 block of Pinole Valley Road.

Drug arrest: Officers stopped a car at 11:05 p.m. near Valero. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license. A person associated with the driver was then arrested at the Days Inn for possession of drug paraphernalia and bringing a controlled substance into a jail.

Tuesday, July 30

Another drug arrest: Police stopped a vehicle at 1:55 a.m. near Burger King. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and later for possession of a controlled substance in a jail.

More drug arrests: Two people were taken into custody after a car was stopped at 3:16 a.m. on Coleen Court near Limerick Road. A pair of passengers were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Intoxicated person: A pedestrian was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on Second Avenue near San Pablo Avenue for public intoxication.

Wednesday, July 31

Stolen vehicle: Officers were notified at 7:15 a.m. that a car had been stolen in the 500 block of Sunnyview Drive.

Target theft: Police went to the Target store at 2:37 p.m. for a report of a theft. One person was arrested for burglary, falsely impersonating another person and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Home burglarized: Officers were called at 6:18 p.m. by a resident in the 3100 block of Estates Avenue who reported their home had been burglarized.

Thursday, August 1

Another Target theft: Police went to the Target store again at 4:16 p.m. for a report of a theft. One person was arrested for burglary and giving false information to a police officer.

DUI incident: A vehicle accident was reported at 10:39 p.m. in the 2700 block of Pinole Valley Road. One person was arrested for driving while intoxicated, cited and released to a parent.

Friday, August 2

Drug arrests: A pedestrian was arrested at 8:44 p.m. in the 600 block of San Pablo Avenue for possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another person who was associated with the pedestrian was arrested at the subject's home for possession of a controlled substance.

DUI Arrests: A driver was stopped in the 2300 block of San Pablo Avenue at 11:25 p.m. The motorist was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and obstruction of justice.
