Pinole Robbery At Gunpoint Ends In Arrest: Police
The victim was robbed during a sale arranged through the OfferUp online marketplace at a Pinole shopping center parking lot.
PINOLE, CA — An 18-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly robbed someone and brandished a gun Wednesday during a sale arranged through the OfferUp online marketplace at a Pinole shopping center parking lot, police said.
The victim told police he was selling an item through the online shopping exchange and agreed to meet the buyer in the parking lot of the Pinole Valley Shopping Center at about 7:30 p.m.
When they met, however, the suspect allegedly grabbed the item and ran away. The victim ran after him and the suspect brandished a gun, got into a white SUV and left. The victim wasn't injured, police said.

A witness gave the victim a license plate number for the suspect's vehicle, and police were able to track it to a Pinole resident.
Jeremiah Meadows, 18, was taken into custody and officers served a search warrant on his home, where a gun and the stolen property were found.

Meadows was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of robbery.
