Pinole-Hercules Death Notices
Some of the people with ties to the Pinole-Hercules area who have passed away recently

Edward Takeuchi, a resident of Pinole, worked for A.C. Transit for 35 years. He was also a member of Valley Bible Church of Hercules. Takeuchi died on Aug. 24 at the age of 84.
Gilbert Oliver, a resident of Walnut Creek, had a periodontics practice in the Richmond-Pinole area until April of this year. He grew up in Oregon, earning a dental medicine degree at the University of Oregon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Oliver died on Sept. 7 at the age of 84.
Helen Louise Piper Tarvin, a resident of Hercules, lived in Contra Costa County most of her life, including the final 10 years in Hercules. Tarvin died Sept. 2 at the age of 91.
