PINOLE-HERCULES, CA — If you are seeing smoke in the Pinole area, chances are that it is coming from a firefighter training exercise.
The East Bay Regional Park District is setting firefighter training burns at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, as part of a firefighting training exercise.
Smoke may be visible around the area.

"Please do not report it to first responders," the park district advises, "who are aware of the training burn. The training burn is in accordance with the air quality restrictions."
