Video: Hercules High Marching Band Tunes Up for A's Game
The Titans will perform the Star Spangled Banner at the Oakland A's game on April 10th.

The Hercules Titans marching band is small but mighty — and they're about to prove it by performing in front of thousands at the Oakland A's baseball game on April 10.
After being on hiatus since 2004, the marching band made a triumphant return this year under the guidance of teacher Jeff Berrington.
"They had all the gear, all the equipment and all the uniforms, but nobody wanted to do it," said Berrington, who stepped up to the challenge as band master and says he "talked the kids into doing it."

A recording of the band playing the Star Spangled Banner was sent to the program director for the Oakland A's, who then invited the Titans to perform when Oakland meets Kansas on April 10. The marching band is set to take the field at 7:05 p.m.
With around 40 students, the band is still relatively small compared to most high schools, said Berrington. But he expects the group to grow, he added, when people see how much fun they're having.
