Halloween Costume Gone Bad: East Bay Woman Goes Blackface
The woman spotted at Staples in Pleasant Hill jokingly tells a customer she's a Napa fire spa guest.

EAST BAY, CA -- A Pleasant Hill store employee is receiving backlash after she was caught on camera wearing a blackface for Halloween.
The employee at a Staples store was documented by two different customers who told their stories to ABC7news.com.
In one interaction, an employee says his colleague is a Sharpie costume for Halloween. In another interaction, the woman says she was a Napa fire spa guest for the holiday.

In a statement to the news station, the office supply store says it "apologizes to any customers that were offended in the store, as well as those that may have viewed a photo of the representative on social media."
Blackface is widely seen as racist as it has ties to slavery and white supremacy.
