Police Seek Pleasant Hill Nordstrom Rack Robber

PLEASANT HILL - Police are seeking a 22-year-old Hayward man as a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a department store in Pleasant Hill Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery was reported at 1:47 p.m. at a Nordstrom Rack location at 703 Contra Costa Blvd., police said.

Store property was lost in the robbery, according to police, and the suspect had a firearm of some kind.

Officers located a fleeing vehicle that matched a witness description, pursuing it onto highways and into neighboring cities until terminating the chase when the suspect drove into oncoming traffic.

Police said they later confirmed that at the time of the chase there were three children and a woman were in the vehicle with the suspect, who investigators have identified as Charles Frederick Justus.
