Sunday Singalong - Werewolves of London

Written by Warren Zevon, Waddy Watchel and Leroy Marinell, "Werewolves of London" was released in 1978 on Zevon's "Exciteable Boy" album. The song is probably Zevon's best known work. 

It captures a sound and spirit of a time that saw rock almost sinking into history, being replaced by the burgeoning disco craze and, very shortly, punk. But there were still hit makers playing serious rock and roll, and Zevon was among them, writing sharp songs with biting lyrics (pun perhaps intended). And if this particular track sounds a little familiar to those of you around in those days, perhaps it's because the drummer is Mick Fleetwood and the bass player is John McVie, both of whom were the foundation for the then-supergroup Fleetwood Mac.
