155th Scottish Highland Gathering And Games Coming To Tri-Valley

The Labor Day weekend event will bring Scottish competitions, food, music, dance and more. Get the details.

PLEASANTON, CA — Grab your kilt, Tri-Valley. The 155th Scottish Highland Gathering and Games will take place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Labor Day weekend.

The event will include Scottish and Irish dancing, folk singing, games, highland dancing, food, pipe bands, drumming — and of course — whisky tasting. Check out the full event schedule.

The event will be held Saturday and Sunday and kick off with opening ceremonies beginning at 11:45 a.m. Closing ceremonies will end at 5:20 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased online. Fewer than 300 tickets are available for Sunday, organizers said Thursday. Capacity is limited.
