Boy, 13, In Critical Condition After Pleasanton Bike Crash
The boy remains in the hospital as officials continue to investigate the Tuesday evening crash.
PLEASANTON, CA — A 13-year-old boy is hospitalized in critical but stable condition after a car crashed into his bike Tuesday night in Pleasanton.
The boy, who was not named by police, was heading northbound on Santa Rita Road when he was struck by a car turning southbound onto the road from Rosewood Drive, Pleasanton police said in a statement. Officials were called to the scene shortly after 6:30 p.m.
The boy suffered major injuries and was hospitalized after officials began to treat him onsite.

The driver, who was not named, cooperated with the police investigation, police said. Officers do not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
