Circle K Offering 40 Cents Off Per Gallon Of Gas In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — Need to fill up your tank? Motorists can score 40 cents off per gallon of gas Thursday at Circle K.

The gas station chain is hosting a Fuel Day pop-up and offering 40 cents off per gallon to support the American Red Cross. The discount runs from 4-7 p.m. at participating Circle K locations across the country. Customers can find their nearest participating location using the online store locator. The Circle K in Pleasanton is located at 4191 1st Street.

The company will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Red Cross. More than 240 locations in California, Oregon and Washington are participating in the Fuel Day event, which follows a similar January pop-up that raised funds for the Red Cross' disaster relief efforts during the wildfires that devastated Southern California.

"We're so thankful for our partnership with the American Red Cross and proud to champion their efforts across our community," said George Wilkins, vice president of operations for Circle K's West Coast Business Unit. "With so much work still to be done in recovering from this winter's wildfires as well as preparing for future disasters, it's important we continue supporting the relief and recovery efforts while bringing value to our loyal customers with another exciting Fuel Day."

As of Thursday, the average gas price is $4.64 in California and $4.78 in Contra Costa, according to AAA Gas Prices. The deal at Circle K will be available at participating company-operated and select franchise-operated gas stations. The price on the pump will reflect the discounted price during the time window, according to the company.
