Comic Con Returns To Alameda County Fairgrounds This Weekend
The East Bay's comic and pop culture convention vows to offer all-ages fun Saturday. Here's what you can expect.
PLEASANTON, CA — Lovers of comics and pop culture, get ready! Powerhouse Comic Con will take place Saturday at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
The all-ages conference event will feature games, celebrity panels, comic books, local artists, trick-or-treating and more, organizers said. Toy and anime vendors will be on hand, and participants in a cosplay contest will compete for a $200 cash prize.
This year's Powerhouse Comic Con will celebrate the 55th anniversary of "Ultraman," a Japanese tokusatsu science fiction TV show, organizers said. Dore Kraus, who played Jack Shindo in "Ultraman: Towards the Future," will be present.

Other celebrity guests include the following.
- Carl Craig of "Destroy All Planets."
- Kyle Pacek of "The Mandalorian."
- Charlotte Steward of "Little House on the Prairie."
- Jon Provost of "Lassie."
- Laurie Jacobson, Hollywood historian.
- Lor Blood-Rah, horror TV show host.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $11 online, $17 at the door and $35 for a four-person family pack. Kids under 12 are free if accompanied by an adult.
