Crash Leads To Chase, Arrest Of Burglary Suspects In Danville
A Pleasanton investigation led Danville Police to a pursuit of suspects and recovery of items from a residential burglary.

PLEASANTON, CA — On Wednesday, March 23, at approximately 10:18 a.m. Pleasanton Police responded to a report of a car burglary at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. One of the items stolen was a garage door clicker for an address in the 1800 block of Ridgeland Circle in Danville.
Pleasanton Police alerted the Danville Police department, and Danville officers were dispatched to the address. The address had been burglarized, but a neighbor who witnessed the burglary was able to give Danville Police a description of the suspect’s vehicle, a 2021 gray Honda Civic.

Danville officers spotted the Honda leaving the neighborhood and followed the vehicle into San Ramon and onto the Southbound I-680.
Officers attempted a traffic enforcement stop on Southbound I-680, south of Stoneridge Drive. The Honda yielded for a moment and then fled southbound. Danville Officers, with the assistance of units from the Contra Costa County Sheriff, pursued the Honda south on I-680.

The Honda crashed while taking the Southbound I-680 offramp at Bernal. Two suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Danville Police working with CHP, Pleasanton Police, Dublin Police, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office, and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, set up a perimeter and conducted an extensive search for the suspects.The suspects were later arrested after being located in the area attempting to catch a rideshare.
Stolen property from both the auto burglary in Pleasanton and the residential burglary in Danville were recovered from the suspect’s vehicle.
