East Bay Animal Shelters Asking People To Adopt For The Holidays

PLEASANTON, CA — No animal should have to spend the holidays alone, which is why all 12 East Bay animal shelters are coming together with a joint message: "There has never been a better time to open your heart and your home to a new pet." While all animals will be cared and loved for, there is no place like home.

The shelters are full of hundreds of animals who have all been vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and received medical check-ups. Adopting from a shelter saves lives and helps address the the growing shelter population, which has greatly expanded since the pandemic.

A new fluffy ball of love, and the knowledge that you've rescued an animal, will make the perfect holiday gift.
