A simple question on Patch's Facebook page brought back a lot of memories of local businesses that are no longer open.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton Patch asked our Facebook followers "If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?"
The question got a lot of attention and brought back memories for many of our readers.
There was a handful of favorites listed but we saw a couple popular repeats.

Girasole Grill and Dean's Cafe topped the list.
In 2018, Patch reported that Dean's Cafe closed after receiving 13 health code violations. The restaurant opened in the 1950's and was a local favorite.

Our Facebook followers said they miss Bellinas for the "best" meatballs and pizza.
Locals also miss Sweet and Savory. The business closed in 2020 after 26 years in business due to business costs and lack of revenue.
