The Scottish Games are coming this weekend to Pleasanton

The 159th Scottish Highland Gathering & Games takes place Saturday & Sunday, August 30–31, 2025, at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. https://alameda.saffire.com/p/...
The Games feature heavy athletics, highland dance, music, food booths, clan tents, and the dramatic mass‑band pipe & drum performance.
For the first time, “FamilySearch” will have a tent at the Games to help people with their Family History. The booth will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Trained volunteers will show how to use the FamilySearch app to find your deceased ancestors and historical documents related to them in a database that has access to billions of historical records of deceased individuals.
Simply bring your phone and any information about your ancestors and one-on-one help will be provided to assist you in finding more information about your family and ancestry.
