I-580 Motorcycle Crash Victim Was 25-Year-Old Future Nurse, Amador Valley Alum: Report
The EMT technician had just finished his nursing school applications and was planning to propose to his girlfriend, his mother said.
PLEASANTON, CA — The victim of a fatal motorcycle collision was identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau as 25-year-old Scott Renton. Pleasanton Weekly identified Renton as an Amador Valley High School alumnus studying to be a nurse.
The crash occurred Thursday afternoon on eastbound I-580 near Eden Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators believe Renton was riding a Yamaha RZFR6 motorcycle that initially struck a gray Toyota Sienna, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle into the left lane. He was then struck by an oncoming Toyota Tundra.
Renton's mother told Pleasanton Weekly that her son had just finished his nursing applications last week. "He loved helping babies the most. He had the best smile and told us he loved us all the time," she said.
