Meadowlark Dairy Traffic Changes Go Into Effect
Pleasanton instituted a number of changes meant to alleviate traffic around the popular ice cream drive-thru.

PLEASANTON, CA — Meadowlark Dairy, the Pleasanton institution that last summer was named the country’s eighth-best ice cream, was starting to get a little too popular, and the town instituted some traffic changes that went into effect last weekend. The changes will last until at least Aug. 31.
- All drive-thru traffic will approach from First Street.
- Left turns from Neal Street into Meadowlark are not permitted.
- Parking will be removed along First Street adjacent to Lions Wayside Park. Those spaces will be used as a line for cars waiting through the drive-thru.
- Delineators and roadway stripping will identify the dairy line.
- The westbound 10/10R bus stop will be relocated to First Street.
- During Concerts in the Park, Neal Street will be closed between First Street and Railroad Avenue from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Parking on First Street will be allowed from 6-10 p.m., and Meadowlark will only serve walk-up customers.
