More Winter Weather Headed For Pleasanton

Pleasanton is under multiple warnings and can expect freezing temperatures, high winds, and rain.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley are under a Winter Storm Warning from 7 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday, a Freeze Warning from 12 a.m.-9 a.m. Friday, and a Wind Advisory from 4 p.m. Thursday to 4 p.m. Friday.

Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 32 are expected throughout the East Bay hills and interior valleys.

The winter storm is expected to bring snow snow expected at elevations above 1,500 to 2,000 feet. The East Bay hills, the mountains of Napa County, the Sonoma Coastal range, the interior mountains of Sonoma County, the Marin highlands, the eastern Santa Clara Hills, the Santa Cruz Mountains, the Santa Lucia Mountains, and the interior mountains of San Benito and Monterey County have all been placed under the Winter Storm Warning.

Rain and snow showers will become more widespread Thursday evening into Friday at lower elevations, with a 10 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday into Friday, according to the weather service.

South winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects," forecasters said. "Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result."
