'Multiple' ATM Robberies Shake Pleasanton, Police Increasing Patrols
Pleasanton police said two to three masked suspects threatened and assaulted people trying to withdraw cash over the past week.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police say they are investigating at least four to five ATM robberies and physical assaults that occurred across the city over the past week, and increasing patrols around local bank parking lots.
In each case, two to three suspects wearing dark clothing and full-face masks approached victims during early evening hours, according to a report from the Pleasanton Police Department. The suspects threatened and physically assaulted victims to steal cash, though no weapons were seen or used.
Police believe that the incidents are related, based on reported similarities in suspect description and time of day. Each robbery involved a different getaway vehicle.

Pleasanton police advise residents to be aware of surroundings if using ATMs, especially after dark. Residents are advised to use indoor or well-lit ATMs in populated areas, and avoid withdrawing large amounts of cash at once.
