Multiple Fires Burn In Pleasanton & Livermore Tuesday, Including Large Grass Fire
LPFD and the Alameda County Fire Department had an unusually busy day Tuesday responding to multiple fires in the two cities.
PLEASANTON, CA — Several fires burned Tuesday and early Wednesday in Pleasanton and Livermore, including a large vegetation fire in unincorporated Livermore. The following information was provided to Patch by LPFD Acting Deputy Chief Kurtis Dickey.
In Pleasanton, a small vegetation fire broke out near the intersection of I-580 and Hopyard Road at 3:04 p.m. due to unknown causes. The fire was extinguished by Alameda County Crews.
At 4:07 p.m., a cooking fire broke out at the 3700 block of Nevada Street that was extinguished by the resident prior fire crews' arrival.

At 5:16 p.m., smoldering wood from the earlier fire at I-580 and Hopyard Road ignited a new fire that crews quickly extinguished.
At 5:52 a.m. Wednesday, another cooking fire burned at the 7600 block of Knollbrook Drive. The fire was also extinguished by the resident before the fire department arrived.

In Livermore, a large fire broke out at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday at the 2060 block of Collier Canyon Road, in an unincorporated area just north of I-580. The fire was caused by burning wood and hay debris. Crews from the Alameda County Fire Department spent several hours fighting the fire with fire engines, helicopters, bulldozers, and water tenders.

At 4:38 p.m., kids set fire to a porta-potty at the 1000 block of Geneva Street, resulting in minor damage.
At an unspecified time, a 50 by 50-foot grass fire was starting by an unhoused person at Stanley Boulevard and El Charro Road, which was quickly extinguished.
