No Kings Rallies Planned In Pleasanton, Livermore
Anti-Trump rallies are planned Saturday in Pleasanton, Livermore, Walnut Creek, and all over the Bay Area.

PLEASANTON, CA — "No Kings" rallies protesting Pres. Trump's policies are planned for Saturday in Pleasanton and Livermore.
The Pleasanton rally will take place at Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park at 5801 Valley Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
In addition to bringing signs, guests are encouraged to wear costumes. The rally, one of thousands planned around the country, will feature remarks from California Assemblymember Liz Ortega, a local nurse, performer Morgan Finley King, Marian Peterson, and Rosa Lopez, the wife Miguel Lopez, a Livermore resident deported by ICE.

There will also be tables to make signs, participate in a community art project, register to vote, get shirts and merchandise from Indivisible Tri-Valley, and learn more about local political activism.
"On October 18 we gather peacefully and say #NoKings. The president may think his rule is absolute. But in America, we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty," organizer Swing Left said in a statement.

The Livermore rally is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Portola Park. See here to register.
In June, roughly 5,000 people attended a No Kings protest in Dublin.
Rallies are planned all across the Bay Area and country Saturday, including in Hayward, Union City, San Leandro, Walnut Creek, Tracy, Oakland, Berkeley, and many more.
