Pleasanton Kicks Off 2-Year Budget Talks This Week

The City Council is beginning work on Pleasanton's next budget and will make adjustments based on community feedback in the coming months.

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton leaders are hitting the ground running in the first week of the new year by taking the first steps in charting the city's next two-year budget framework.

The process will get underway Thursday evening with a budget workshop laying out the process, addressing financial challenges, funding sources and anticipated needs for the next two fiscal years.

Following the workshop, the City Council will continue discussions at its regular meeting, focusing on key elements of the budget, community engagement and finding potential solutions to budgetary constraints.
