Pleasanton Preps For November Election Candidate Orientation
Prospective candidates for the municipal election can learn about the process and how to get started.
PLEASANTON, CA — Those interested in running for office in the November 8 municipal election in Pleasanton can attend a prospective candidate orientation on June 29.
The city clerk's office will host the event that includes information on district-based elections, city government structure, the role of elected officials, the nomination process, Fair Political Practices Commission filings, campaign statements and disclosure obligations, the city said.
The orientation will also provide resources to help possible candidates get started in their process.

No registration is required and the meeting is free to attend. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Pleasanton Library, 400 Old Bernal Avenue.
