Pleasanton Resident Ignites Small Fire With Fireworks: Police
A Pleasanton resident was arrested after illegal fireworks started a small grass fire, police said.
PLEASANTON, CA — A 40-year-old Pleasanton resident was arrested after lighting fireworks that caused a small fire, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
On Sunday, the resident was seen lighting fireworks which started a small fire in a field near Old Bernal Avenue. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.
The man was booked into Santa Rita Jail on charges of arson.

Police also responded to numerous reports of fireworks throughout the city, according to PPD spokesperson Teri Yan.
