Pleasanton Temps To Drop 20 Degrees After Reaching The 90s

Wednesday is going to be blistering hot, but Thursday is going to be a breezy relief throughout the region.

PLEASANTON, CA — If you have Thursday off for Juneteenth, enjoy - it's going to be nice and cool.

Temperatures in Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley are going to peak in the mid to lower-90s on Wednesday before dropping roughly 20 degrees Thursday.

Temperatures are going to climb around 6 degrees into the lower 90s throughout the Tri-Valley on Wednesday. Below is a list of the five Tri-Valley cities' temperature change from Wednesday into Thursday, according to Accuweather:

San Ramon: 89, 71

Temperatures are expected to slowly rise after that, but stabilize in the upper 70s to mid-80s for the next few days.

The National Weather Service recommends the following safety tips during extreme heat:

  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Avoid spending time outside if possible, and stay out of the sun
  • Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, which include a throbbing headache, confusion, nausea, dizziness, fever, strong pulse, fainting, and more
  • Keep the air conditioning on
  • Wear loose and lightweight clothing
  • Never leave young children or pets unattended in a vehicle
