Pleasanton Unified School District Best In Alameda County: Niche
Education website Niche again ranked the district as the best in the county, and one of the best in the state.
PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton Unified School District was once again ranked the best school district in Alameda County by ranking website Niche.
Niche ranked PUSD as the fifth best in the Bay Area, the 11th best in California, and the 54th best in the United States. It also ranked fourth in the Bay Area and 19th in California for districts with the best teachers, and was the highest ranked district overall in the Tri-Valley. The district received an overall grade of A+, based on quantitative data and parent and student surveys. Its academics, college prep, and teachers all received an A+. The district was the only Tri-Valley school district whose teachers received an A+. Its clubs and sports received an A-, while its weaker scores were in Resources & Facilities (B-), and Food (C+.)

The district received similar scores and rankings last year, when it was also ranked the best in Alameda County, and the sixth best in the Bay Area.
Amador Valley High School received an A+, and was ranked the second best public high school in Alameda County, behind Piedmont High School. It ranked 12th in the Bay Area, 43rd in California, and 201st nationally. It received A+ scores for academics, teachers, and college prep. Foothill High School trailed just behind, ranking third in Alameda County, 14th in the Bay Area, and 49th in California. It also received A+ scores for academics, teachers, and college prep.

Nearby, Dublin Unified School District scored an A+, and was ranked third in Alameda County and 38th in California. The San Ramon Valley Unified School District also received an A+, and ranked second in Contra Costa County, 10th in the Bay Area, and 30th in California. The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District received an A-, and was ranked 10th in Alameda County, 26th in the Bay Area, and 112th in California.
The Palo Alto Unified School District was ranked the best public school district in California, while the Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 north of Chicago was ranked best in the country.
