Quilter Makes 2,800 Masks: Pleasanton Hero
We all know someone who's making a difference. Let's help share these amazing stories! Presented by Ring.
PLEASANTON, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Sue Stephenson, who nominated fellow Amador Valley Quilters Guild member Jeanne Brophy of Pleasanton.

Reason for recognition: She is a clearning house for people making masks (providing them materials to do so) and people needing masks. To date, more than 2,800 masks have passed through her porch.
One thing to know: She's quick to organize when there's a need. In addition to quilting for a living, she donates quilts she's made to AVQ's Community Quilts and to Quilts of Valor.
