Rain Predicted In Pleasanton: What To Know

Rain is predicted the rest of the week in Pleasanton. Here's some info to prepare.

PLEASANTON, CA — A storm is heading to the Bay Area, and while Pleasanton isn’t expected to get a ton of rain, it can’t hurt to be prepared.

Wednesday is expected to be cloudy with rain in the afternoon, with similar forecasts on Thursday and Friday, according to Accuweather. There is over a 70-percent chance of rain each day, with an 80-percent chance Friday. Showers are also expected Saturday.

The Bay Area is expected to receive anywhere from 0.5 to 1.5 inches of rain throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service. Up to 0.3 inches already fell Monday night throughout the North Bay.

The City of Pleasanton provides free sandbags to residents at 3333 Busch Road. Sand bags are located in the parking lot under a brown tarp, and can be picked up any time.

Flooding can be reported to the Operations Services Department between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 925-931-5500. Outside business hours, residents can call the Pleasanton Police Department at 925-931-5100. See here for all other information.

The National Weather Service also advises cleaning gutters and drains of leaves, driving slowly on wet roadways, and allowing for extra travel time.
