Renovated Lions Wayside Park Reopening

The Pleasanton City Council will preside over the renovated park, which includes an expanded lawn and new bandstand.

PLEASANTON, CA — The Pleasanton community is invited to celebrate the opening of the newly-renovated Lions Wayside Park.

The renovation includes a new bandstand on the north side of Lions Wayside, expands the lawn area for concert viewing from 24,000 to roughly 27,000 square feet, and allows for the Firehouse Arts Center Plaza to be incorporated as a spot to view concerts. There will also be additional trees, seating, picnic areas, and a new dance area in front of the bandstand.

The Pleasanton City Council will gather on Friday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. for a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The new park will be ready in time to host the city's 2025 Summer Concert series.
