Several I-580 Lanes To Close Nightly In Both Directions

PLEASANTON, CA — Several lanes will be closed on eastbound and westbound I-580 from the I-680/580 overcrossing to the I-580/SR 238 overcrossing in Castro Valley, Caltrans announced.

Several lanes will be closed on the eastbound side from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and the westbound side from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. The closures will take place Monday through Friday nights. Caltrans did not provide an approximate end date.

The constructions aims to address safety concerns, improve ride quality, and extend the service life of the highway, Caltrans said. Activities include replacing concrete slabs, constructing concrete barriers, and upgrading infrastructure.

All work is weather permitting.
