SigAlert: East Bay Freeway Lane Closures Triggered By Hazmat Spill
Several lanes were closed in the Sunol area after a large container with coolant fell off a truck and leaked into a nearby storm drain.

SUNOL, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert after a transformer fell off a truck and leaked coolant into a storm drain. As of 10:17 a.m. Thursday, the right lane of the westbound SR-84 ramp to southbound I-680 near Sunol is blocked, according to 511.org.
At 8:34 a.m, a large container fell of the bed of a flatbed truck, blocking a lane of the off-ramp, according to a CHP log. The transformer began leaking liquid coolant into a storm drain.
