PLEASANTON, CA — Talk about a "ring of fire:" Mike Bettencourt captured this fiery photo of Saturday's solar eclipse, and shared it with Patch.

Bettencourt shot the eclipse with a Canon R5, using a Spectrum Telescope Solar Filter, at 9:24 a.m. Saturday, around the time of the peak.

The eclipse was visible throughout the western United States, as well as Mexico and Central America, Saturday morning and afternoon. See here for a full path map and further information from NASA.
