Southbound 680, Foothill Road To Close MLK Weekend
CalTrans said the work that weekend will allow pavement rehabilitation a year ahead of scheduled.

PLEASANTON, CA — The southbound lane of I-680 will close between Sunol Boulevard and Koopman Road from Friday, Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. until Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 4 a.m. to replace a portion of deteriorating roadway, CalTrans announced.
Northbound 680 will remain open during the closure.
The weekend closure will rehabilitate the pavement a year ahead of schedule, giving drivers a smooth ride starting in January 2024, CalTrans said. It will accomplish work that would otherwise require an estimated 50 nighttime closures.
