Freeway Closure Planned This Weekend
The closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. on Friday to 4 a.m. on Monday.

PLEASANTON, CA — Southbound I-680 will close between Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon and the I-580/680 connector in Pleasanton between 9 p.m. on Friday and 4 a.m. on Monday, according to Caltrans. During the closure, crews will continue replacing deteriorated roadway with new pavement.
During the same period, the far-left Express Lane and left shoulder will be closed on northbound I-680 between Amador Valley Boulevard in Dublin and Alcosta Boulevard in San Ramon.
All I-580-680 connectors will remain open through most right lanes in the southbound lane during the closure. Portable changeable message signs and CHP officers will be on hand to guide motorists. See here for a list of alternative routes.

Partial closures of southbound I-680 are scheduled for the weekends of Oct. 4-7 and Oct. 18-21. Drivers will still be able to travel southbound I-680 during those weekends.
Closures will be rescheduled in the event of rain or other inclement weather.
