SR-84 To Close Nightly Next Week: Caltrans
The road will be closed as crews work to repair a portion of the road that fell into the creek in February.

SUNOL, CA — State Route 84, also known as Niles Canyon Road, will be closed each night next week for repair work, Caltrans said.
The road will be closed between Old Canyon Road in Fremont and Main Street in Sunol each night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21. Drivers should detour to I-680 during these hours.
The road will open to one-way traffic control each morning. A portion of the road has been one-way since February, when a portion of the highway collapsed into the creek due to deteriorated road from the storms. Crews are constructing a new bridge in the eastbound direction.
