Storm Damage, Rain Totals In Pleasanton

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton lost several small trees, branches, and road signs as an atmospheric river whipped up winds approaching 75 mph Sunday night. No trees blocked roadways, and the signs were repaired Monday, according to city spokesperson Heather Tiernan.
The city received a total of approximately 4.44 inches of rain from Monday, Jan. 29 to Monday, Feb. 5, according to The Mercury News, based on an average of totals from Dublin and Livermore. From Saturday to Monday, the city received roughly 1.59 inches.
Unlike neighboring Danville and San Ramon, no major power outages were reported in Pleasanton. Danville and Alamo had up to 5,000 customers without power Monday morning, though that was reduced to 715 by 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Still, more rain is expected Tuesday and Wednesday, though it is not predicted to be as intense, and the sun may peak through at points during both days. Winds are not predicted to go above 8 mph, according to Accuweather. The city is no longer under any National Weather Service alerts or watches.
