'Tails At Twilight' Gala Tickets On Sale

PLEASANTON, CA — It may be 2024, but on July 13, travel back to 1924 to support local animals.

Valley Humane Society is hosting a Roaring 20s-themed Tails at Twilight gala at Casa Real at Ruby Winery. The 10th annual event will begin at 6 p.m. with a champagne reception, followed by a dinner of vegan Thai coconut curry, seared salmon, and wine-braised short ribs. This will be followed by a wine pull, Heads or Tails, auction, and dancing.

Auction items include a seven-night Tuscan culinary escape for two to Italy, seven days in a luxury villa in Manzanillo, Mexico, and the opportunity to make your pet the official Ambassadog of Pleasanton or Livermore.

Tickets cost $175 and often sell out well in advance. Proceeds will benefit Valley Humane’s many programs, like dog and cat adoption, AniMeals pet food pantry, the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center, and Canine Comfort pet-assisted therapy, which provides therapy dogs for people around the Bay Area.
